Helping distressed communities with the passion and power by supporting minority contractors in business
The Community Economic Development Alliance (CEDA) is a non-profit, tax-exempt, community-development corporation that was established by a group of minority contractors in order to stabilize, preserve and revitalize financially distressed communities. We do this by undertaking real estate development projects that will make those communities more enjoyable and more fulfilling for their residents – and by helping local minority contractors establish and/or expand their own business operations in those same areas.
Our immediate objectives are to undertake development projects that will have a positive impact on distressed communities – and to help minority contractors establish and/or expand their operations in those areas by providing them with the contacts, financing and support services they will need in order to be successful. In the longer term, our goal is to establish a Community Development Loan Fund (CDLF) that will enable us to provide a much broader scope of financial support for these same communities and minority contractors.
Once we have obtained certification as a CDLF, we will offer a wider range of financial products and services. These will include, but not be limited to, the following: equipment loans; new project loans; payroll services; etc.
